Dorman® Insulating Glass Molecular Sieve is a high-performance desiccant designed for insulated glass units (IGUs) to ensure effective moisture control and long-term sealing performance. It provides excellent water vapor adsorption with minimal gas adsorption, helping prevent condensation, fogging, and seal failure inside insulated glazing systems. Available in multiple bead sizes for both automated and manual spacer filling applications, it delivers consistent and reliable performance in double and triple glazing systems.
Dorman® Insulating Glass Molecular Sieve (1.0–2.0 mm) is a high-strength desiccant specifically developed for insulated glass units requiring enhanced mechanical stability and moisture adsorption performance. It efficiently removes residual moisture inside IGUs, preventing condensation and ensuring long-term durability of sealed glazing systems. Its larger bead size provides improved mechanical strength and is suitable for both manual and semi-automatic spacer filling applications.
Dorman® Molecular Sieve 1.0–2.0 mm is composed of spherical potassium sodium aluminum silicate beads with optimized adsorption and strength characteristics for IGU applications. It offers high static water absorption (≥20%) with a bulk density of 0.72–0.78 g/ml and maintains a dew point below -73°C for effective moisture control. The product features higher crushing strength (≥15 N/piece), low gas adsorption (≤0.2%), and excellent size uniformity (≥98%). With low dust content (≤30 ppm) and residual moisture below 1.5%, it ensures stable, long-term performance in insulating glass systems while supporting both manual and semi-automated filling processes.
