Dorman® NS799 is a multipurpose modified silicone sealant designed for sealing, bonding, and gap filling in a wide range of construction and industrial applications. It offers excellent adhesion to common building materials such as concrete, glass, metal, wood, PVC, and aluminum without the need for primer in most cases. With its high flexibility, strong weather resistance, and UV stability, it ensures durable and long-lasting sealing performance for both indoor and outdoor use.
Spec & Technical Data
Dorman® NS799 is a one-component modified silicone hybrid sealant that cures with atmospheric moisture under a neutral, solvent-free system. It provides a smooth paste consistency with excellent non-sag properties and a tack-free time of approximately 10–25 minutes. The sealant cures at a rate of about 2–3 mm per day, with a working time of 10–20 minutes and application temperature ranging from +5°C to +40°C. Once fully cured, it delivers strong elastic performance with Shore A hardness of approximately 20–40, elongation at break exceeding 300%, and tensile strength of around 1.0–2.0 MPa. It performs reliably under temperatures from -40°C to +90°C and offers excellent adhesion, flexibility, UV resistance, and weather durability for demanding construction applications.
