Description

SILANDE® MF881 is a two-component neutral-cured silicone structural sealant specifically developed for the production of high-performance insulated glass units. It is designed for residential and commercial curtain wall systems and is suitable for structural glazing applications, including factory glazing of curtain wall units and unitised or panelised façade systems. The sealant provides reliable structural bonding, long-term durability, and stable performance under demanding service conditions.

Spec & Technical Data

 

The sealant offers excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates, including coated, enamelled, and reflective glass, as well as anodized and polyester-coated aluminum and stainless steel. Its wide temperature resistance range from -60°C to +180°C ensures long-term performance under extreme conditions. High elasticity, high modulus, and resistance to ozone make it suitable for structural applications requiring joint movement and lasting mechanical stability.
