Ködispace 4SG TPS Spacer by H.B. Fuller is an advanced warm-edge spacer system designed for high-performance insulating glass units (IGU). Based on reactive thermoplastic polyisobutylene (PIB) technology, it combines spacer, primary seal, and integrated desiccant functions into a single automated application system. Ködispace 4SG delivers excellent thermal insulation, extremely low gas and moisture permeability, and superior long-term durability. Its warm-edge design helps improve the overall U-value of insulating glass units, enhancing energy efficiency and reducing condensation risk. The system is compatible with approved silicone and polysulfide secondary sealants and is widely used in modern automated IG manufacturing lines.
Ködispace 4SG by H.B. Fuller is a high-performance reactive thermoplastic spacer system developed for the automated production of insulating glass units (IGU). Based on polyisobutylene (PIB) technology, it combines the functions of a warm-edge spacer, primary seal, and integrated desiccant in a single application. The material provides excellent adhesion to glass, low moisture and gas permeability, and reliable long-term sealing performance. Its warm-edge design helps minimize heat transfer through the glass edge, improving thermal performance and contributing to greater energy efficiency. Ködispace 4SG is suitable for modern automated insulating glass manufacturing and high-performance architectural glazing applications.
Ködispace 4SG is a black, one-component reactive thermoplastic spacer system based on polyisobutylene (PIB) with integrated desiccant. It has a density of 1.28 g/cm³, thermal conductivity of 0.350 W/(m·K), and moisture adsorption capacity of 3.6%. Argon gas permeation is 0.0014 g/(m²·h), equivalent to 0.033 g/(m²·day), while water vapour transmission is 0.15 g/(m²·day). Volatile content is ≤0.008% with no visible fogging. Processing is carried out at 115°C to 140°C using a drum melting system and fully automatic application equipment. The service temperature range is -40°C to +90°C, with storage at 10°C to 30°C and a shelf life of 18 months. The product is supplied as a solid thermoplastic compound in 220 kg drums and is suitable for glass substrates with approved silicone and polysulfide secondary sealants.
