Description
FENZI Butyl Primary Sealant is an ideal solution for primary sealing in insulated glass units (IGUs), providing an effective barrier against water vapor and gas permeation. Based on high-quality polyisobutylene (PIB), it is supplied as a one-component, solvent-free sealant. The product provides excellent resistance to water vapor and gas permeation, outstanding ageing resistance, and strong adhesion to glass and metal spacer systems. It can be used in combination with FENZI Thiover Polysulphide and other conventional secondary sealants, supporting reliable long-term performance and durability of insulated glass units.

FENZI Butyl Primary Sealant is a PIB-based, one-component and solvent-free sealant supplied in solid form for primary sealing applications in insulating glass units (IGUs). It provides very low water vapor and gas permeability, strong adhesion to glass and metal spacer systems, and excellent resistance to ageing. The sealant is suitable for application on IGU production lines and is compatible with polysulphide and other conventional secondary sealants, supporting durable and reliable sealing performance in double-glazed systems.
