Trosifol® UltraClear PVB Interlayer Film by Kuraray Trosifol is a premium laminated glass interlayer engineered for architectural safety glazing applications. Designed with exceptional transparency, high adhesion, and industry-leading low yellowness, it enhances the appearance of low-iron glass while providing reliable safety and durability. Its UV-stabilized formulation, excellent edge stability, and superior optical clarity make it ideal for facades, balustrades, skylights, canopies, storefronts, and other high-performance glazing systems.
Trosifol® UltraClear is a highly transparent safety-grade PVB interlayer specifically developed for laminated safety glass. Manufactured by Kuraray, it offers outstanding optical clarity, high light transmission, superior adhesion, and excellent open-edge performance. The interlayer is optimized for use with tempered and heat-strengthened glass, reducing the risk of edge delamination while maintaining long-term durability. Its extremely low yellowness index preserves the natural appearance of low-iron glass, making it a preferred solution for premium architectural glazing projects where clarity, safety, and aesthetics are critical.
Trosifol® UltraClear is a safety-grade Polyvinyl Butyral (PVB) interlayer available in 1.52 mm thickness with a density of 1.07 g/cm³. It provides 88% visible light transmission, 20–21% solar absorption, thermal conductivity of 0.21 W/mK, thermal expansion coefficient of 1.7 × 10⁻⁴ 1/K, and specific heat capacity of 1.9 J/g·K. The material offers tensile strength greater than 20 N/mm² and elongation at break exceeding 250%, ensuring excellent impact resistance and flexibility. Its UV-stabilized composition, high adhesion, and ultra-low yellowness make it particularly suitable for laminated architectural safety glass applications.
