Dorman® Insulating Glass Molecular Sieve is a high-performance desiccant designed for insulated glass units (IGUs) to ensure effective moisture control and long-term sealing performance. It provides excellent water vapor adsorption with minimal gas adsorption, helping prevent condensation, fogging, and seal failure inside insulated glazing systems. Available in multiple bead sizes for both automated and manual spacer filling applications, it delivers consistent and reliable performance in double and triple glazing systems.
Dorman® Insulating Glass Molecular Sieve (0.5–0.9 mm) is a high-performance desiccant designed for insulated glass units (IGUs) to ensure superior moisture control and long-term thermal insulation efficiency. It effectively absorbs water vapor from the sealed cavity while maintaining very low gas adsorption, preventing condensation, fogging, and seal degradation. Its fine, uniform bead size makes it ideal for automated spacer filling systems and precision IGU manufacturing processes.
Dorman® Molecular Sieve 0.5–0.9 mm is manufactured from high-quality potassium sodium aluminum silicate with a spherical bead structure optimized for machine filling applications. It provides high static water absorption (≥20%) with a bulk density of 0.74–0.80 g/ml and a dew point below -73°C for superior moisture protection. The material maintains excellent selectivity by minimizing gas adsorption (≤0.2%) and ensuring stable IGU performance. With low dust content (≤30 ppm), high size uniformity (≥98%), and residual moisture below 1.5%, it delivers consistent and reliable performance in automated production environments.
